Dr. Heather Munroe graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) with a Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2005. She has practiced in Toronto, Vancouver, Collingwood Ontario and for the past 12 years has owned a clinic in Pemberton BC. Previously, she attended the University of Utah on an alpine skiing scholarship and completed her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia in 2000. Dr. Munroe had the pleasure of working in Pemberton at Dr. Shannon’s clinic during the summer of 2007. She always remembered the positive experience she had and decided to make Pemberton home. During her chiropractic education, she became fully certified in Active Release Technique (ART), which is a soft tissue, movement based, massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. A mother herself, Heather specializes in prenatal and postnatal care for mothers, babies and children. She has completed several courses from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Heather is a former member of Canada’s National Alpine Ski Team, a mountain biker, trail runner and has recently taken up wing foiling. She qualified for and completed the Boston Marathon but now enjoys more time in the mountains in the sea to Sky corridor. Through her extensive sporting career she gained profound experience in dedicating herself to training and sports injury management. Chiropractic care helped Heather through her own back injuries and from those positive experiences she decided to pursue this form of health care as her career. Heather’s communication and listening skills combined with hands on treatments allow her to help her patients to achieve pain relief, injury prevention, and performance enhancement through a drug-free, non-invasive approach. She invites you to discover the role that chiropractic care can have in helping you reach your highest personal potential.
